preferably not the one with Born in the USA on it.
Born in the USA might have Born in the USA on it? i dont really like that song. Is the rest of the album in a similar ball park?
also. did he not go through a slightly more experimental phase? (im not saying he made experimental music, but a less pop-like sound) i like the sound of that too.
Born in the USA is AMAZING (apart from some of the dated production).
And maybe Darkness on the Edge of Town. Nebraska is awesome, just him and his geetar mostly. If you like that get Ghost of Tom Joad too.
I really like the Seeger Sessions album too but I might be on my own there.
The Seeger Sessions is the best thing he's done since Born in the USA I think, it's excellent
If you like that, try the albums either side of it (Asbury Park, The Wild The Innocent..., Darkness on the Edge of Town).
And get Nebraska at some point as it's brilliant.
Basically everything he did from the beginning to and including Born in the USA is top-drawer.
all though I've not listened to that many. I would have said it was the obvious "accessible" album.
....avoid Human Touch and Better Days...oh, and don't forget to check out Tunnel of Love too. Nobody's mentioned it yet, but it's great.
followed by Darkness on the Edge of Town
followed by Born to Run
DOTEOT is my personal favourite
Born To Run...seriously cool.
controversially, I would then get his latest which is called MAGIC.
the mans awful.
are a fool
then Darkness On The Edge Of Town and The River. Then - and only then - Born In The USA and Tunnel Of Love. Then get the triple live album 1975 - 1985 for even better versions of the songs on all those albums (bar Tunnel of Love). Then get The Rising and Magic. Then go for Nebraska. Then move on to the Hold Steady and the National.
The Hold Steady are not even in the same league. Boss vs Hold Steady is like Coke vs Panda Pops....
but I still reckon the Hold Steady have made the best Bruce Springsteen album to be released this year.
Cherry Coke is rubbish btw. Coke Zero for me every time. A man's drink.
everyone else has said, then also try devils & dust. Real grower
