'Untitled' / REM (from GREEN)
gallons of rubbing alcohol flow through the strip (or whateer it's called) purely for the line "one mooooore soloooo?!"
at the end of ash's '1977'
and the one on SFA's Guerilla
cant remember what its called but the one at the end of ...Grey Lantern that goes 'the lyrics arent supposed to mean that much, they're just a vehicle for a lovely voice'..
something like that. that was good
That was always one of my favourite Mansun songs after it appeared on a Melody Maker cover cassette.
Also, 'Sick Party' on 1977.
but i think Josh Homme's little speech at the end of Blood Mountain is fairly amusing
at the start of guerilla, it's actually one of my favourite SFA songs as well.
was an amazing song.It was at the end of The Man Who I think. Actually the last song on the album was pretty good too.
probably the best track on that album
is the very excellent hidden track at the start of SFA's Guerilla - the cd has to be "rewound" (into 'minus' minutess) to find it. Annoyingly I've never been able to get it ripped so I can stick it on my iPod.
And the worst has to be the pile of crap noise about 5 mins after the end of the best track on Beeck's Midnight Vultures...
because of the references to it in the albums packaging adding to the mystery.
at the end of Down I Go's 'This Is Disastercore.'
The stupid phone conversation thing on some of the Goldfinger albums.
At the beginning of Less Than Jake's 'Losing Streak' album, if you rewind it there's a speech made by some dude called Howard J Reynolds about sneaking out of his girlfriend's house and getting caught.
oh honey, you know that you can and will lick my doo-wah, oo-wah...
There is also one at the start of Out Spaced (same 'rewind the first track' nonsense) but if I remember rightly it's not very good.
There's a rubbish but quite funny one at the end of 'At The Club' by Kenickie which I quite like too.
Obscurity is not a fucking badge!!!!!!
"Oh its hard; I never found someone who understood me and I feel you could be the one. Humour me darling...
I like your face. I like your shoes. So come on..."
...from the fishnet section into my section, and I love you!"
which is really odd, basically Lauren Laverne (I think) talking like a dirty old man over vaguely trip-hop beats. Bizarre.
on Think Tank by Blur
on vol 3
'Evil Dildo' at the end of Without You I'm Nothing is the best.
Does 'I'm Not Over You' by R.E.M. count as a secret track?
but Chinese Sleep Chant by Coldplay is fantastic.
citizens band, i remember when the nme had it on a cd but in fact they had the "that's right don't go chewing now" track from the end instead. idiots.
im also a fan of the kylie remix at the start of as heard on radio soulwax pt2.
is the name but i used to think thats what she said too. amazing choice. actual band hillarity on record, there's never enough of that.
from Blurs 'Think Tank' comes to mind.
on the arab strap cherubs EP.
you have to start at track one and hold rewind for a minute to get it.
kind of annoyingly gimmicky yet fun.
"You want your secret track? I got your secret track riiight heeere maaan. Ben Folds is a FUCKIN' ASSHOLE!" (collapse into studio laughter.
the lost riots. is better than anything on the album
at the start of "Open Season" by BSP. I didn't know it was there until this year. You have to skip backwards from track one. Brilliant!
I only found after having the album for four years...durr.
Acrylic on the courteeners debut
MUST CHECK IT.
21 ON TWENTY ONE.
