Fuzzy Logic / Radiator
i just got these two in one of those funny cardboard slip cases for £4. i think i did well?
i've never heard SFA before, which should i listen to first? i have the duration of the new slipknot album which i also picked up to decide...
take Slipnot off....
....throw that toss in the bin and put Radiator on!!
Sheeeeesh.
^this
Both are good
so I'd start with Fuzzy Logic first then move onto Radiator (my fave of the two).
Start at the begining.
Fuzzy Logic
Radiator
etc etc
Radiator
I think you've done very well
A very underrated band. Probably the best British band of the last 10 years or so. Certainly the best singles band.
I think my favourite album of theirs is "Guerilla", but most people find it irritating in parts it. Its just a great collection of ideas. And its got 'Northern lites' on it - the best song ever.
'Radiator' is more accessible I suspect but 'Fuzzy logic' more rockin'.
Other good records - I love their Welsh language record 'Mwng' a lot. The B-sides compilation 'Outspaced' (think thats the right title?) is top. 'Rings around the world' is better than people say, as is 'Love kraft'. 'Phantom power' was a bit average though i thought.
Personally, I'm still waiting for a 25 minute long techno freak out like they gave us on their early tours...
Enjoy. I envy you listening to them for the first time...
Northern Lites
is the best song ever.
Start at the beginning with Fuzzy Logic
They're both great anyway, and the band are brilliant throughout their career (yes, even Love Kraft). Good purchase all round.
I remember
when I purchased Fuzzy Logic in 1996 put it on for the first time.
I think I played it 5 or 6 times in a row from start to finnish and just couldn't comprehend how much I enjoyed it. Just so many excellent pop hooks...
It is still a class album and something SFA have never bettered.
*bettered with every album since
what ?
you don't really think Lovekraft, Hey Venus and Phantom Power are an improvement on Fuzzy Logic surely ?
a progression definitely
ditto

I got this the other day too
except i paid a fiver for it. Money well spent i reckon. I'd always ignored SFA before and I haven't listened to them fully yet but both are very good.
