totally sold out
Metallica, Slayer, Trivium?
There are even non-specific "CHARGE" charges and stuff.
Just - ouch. Y'know?
£100+ is on booking fees and nonsensical transaction charges.
wore these to the gig:
but it IS payday on friday...
Thats how much Cardiff costs, anyway...
i know that slipknot and mashy ned are both great bands, but £32.50?! that's absurd, i was meant to see slipknot last week :'(
On the plus side, i think it's only £29.50 if i pay cash at the venue box office - i can put the £3 to about half a pint of carling on the night. Woo!
Or i might just wait and buy one off a tout on the night. Its worked for all the unholy alliance shows so far!
i'll probably be in hammersmith sometime soon
£30 for three big name bands? £10 each? doesn't sound that much to me. and being as bands don't make much money from cds any more, higher ticket prices are inevitable.
yes mashy ned are flaming huge and GREAT live, and i will go (eventually) but £32.50 +£5 booking fees is loads and especially gutting having had them cancel on sunday
but i seem to have different standards on what is expensive for a gig to the rest of DiS. I personally don't think 30 quid is too much to pay for a big name band that I really like, but upwards of that I would be thinking twice.
Interesting how ticket prices weren't metioned at all for the recently released Nick Cave tickets.
Field Day was under thirty quid. A day pass to Offset is under thirty quid. Three bands for thirty seems Quite A Bit to me.
slipknot certainly could have once, and probably if the venue weren't as horrid as wembley still could. and as much as i love those two festivals, i don't think it's a fair comparrison. BUT at the same time £45 for 180 bands at offset over 2 days, compared with three and a half hours of music...
I guess. Not the fairest of comparisons in terms of profile perhaps but in terms of ways to spend money. I guess if you could happily afford Both it's not a fair comparison...
Still, maybe I'm biased. Maybe if it was Björk and Sigur Rós I'd be chirping a different tune. May-be. Although I did baulk at Chemical Bros and SMD being twenty five last year. Hmm.
Carcass, My Dying Bride, Pitchshifter and Napalm Death... Yeah. You heard.
man, this just gets better and better. I loved Hail Horror Hail when it came out (10 years ago?) but haven't really followed them since then.
What?!?! They're back?
i swear pitchshifter reform every week. "OUR LAST LAST LAST LAST LAST FAREWELL GOODBYE TOUR"
