Seems she's playing Glasgow and Dublin as well, according to some dates on last.fm. No other English dates that would appear to be forthcoming though - she's doing mainland Europe right up to the Koko date. Bought tickets yesterday - never been there before. Looks like a 10min walk from Euston station - am I correct?
I saw Andrew Bird there once and it was the worst gig experience of my life.
A quarter of the crowd was just made up of people who had decided to come along for Club NME (which is the reason for the 10PM curfew) - they talked and talked the whole bloody way through, so unless you were anywhere near the front all you could hear were annoying NME teenage girls drunk on Lambrini. Not good when trying to listen to Mr Bird whistling away...
I vowed never to return to Koko on a Friday. Damn Jenny Lewis - now I don't know what to do...
I was gutted she wasn't doing any other dates but now I'm very very pleased.
Oh no, my sympathies to a fellow Wiganer having to fork out for all that....you'll still have a fab time in London though
Having thought about it, the cost of going ahead with the whole trip versus writing off the cost of the hotel makes it seem like a better idea to just do Manchester on the Monday.
Anyone planning on going to the London show that's not already bought tickets? I've got three - will part with them for face value or a reasonable offer :)
ohh
do i? DO I?
I just did!
Also
it's the day after Of Montreal - a Koko double-header. Have mercy on mu soul!
Also...

That's right
It's also opposite Mornington Crescent tube station.
F***ing
Friday night at Koko is like hell.

Get near the front, and it should be OK
Otherwise, just bring a crowbar and knee-cap any twats that talk through her set. It's what I would do.
Hmm
Not sure I'd get a cro-bar past the henchmen on the door...but it's surely worth a try...
I enjoyed
the Andrew Bird gig. Nobody was chatting near me. Still find Koko hit and miss in general, soundwise, tho.
thank you
for the heads up on this, i've booked my tickets! hope its not full of club nme attendees if they're going to be tossers.
Now playing Manchester as well
Monday 20th October.
Being based in Wigan, majorly fucked off about that, having booked tickets and hotel for the London gig on the Friday. Fingers crossed it's worth it.

Anyone want Koko tickets?
