I've clearly been intentionally avoiding this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CerklfGdltQ
for them to do songs like that.
looks like the most lifeless playing ive ever seen, all round
nice and straight to the point...and a guitar solo, haven't heard one of them for a while.
me of Weezer :/
The Man Who was a classic.
Although Travis albums do seem to contain equal measures of shit and genius.
I really hated Why Does It Always Rain on Me and The Invisible Band at the time but I kind of feel sorry for them now the way their popularity fell like a lead balloon. Plus I really liked The Beautiful Occupation.
this new one's turd. The guitar's nice at the beginning but it descends into tedium.
You admit to liking Ride on your profile though, which can only be good

Absofuckinlutely fanatastic !! One of their best songs ever. Travis are one of the greatest bands ever.
12 Memories was really good, so I don't see why it's such a bad thing they're back.
I then did a quick check and noticed they had an album out last year, since 12 Memories. That must've been boring as hell.
and both of them were shite. 12 memories was nice. the man who is nice. good feeling is nice. this... not sure.
is this what's it come to? :-(
When did Fran suddenly age by ten years more than the rest of them?
think about it.
i think it's more 'weezer' than weezer have been in the last 10 years or so.
i'd rather have this on the radio than fucking dirty pretty things and the sub-libertines drivel that seems to dominate the airwaves at the minute
that's my dad's birthday present sorted.
But both Good Feeling and the Man Who were decent albums, and the Invisible Band had some good songs on it (Indefinitely, Last Train, Humpty Dumpty Love Song).
Menswear could be coming back, too.
kinda meh. And I rather liked the scratch guitar bit.
I would trade you Good Charlotte, Hawthorne Heights, Hinder plus a band to be named later for yer guyes Travis.
I like the fact that there's this massive build up to the guitar solo which turns out to be fairly ordinary.
That said I don't see what's to hate about the band.
Sure they've released some shit but they also did Coming Around which is a better song than most bands ever manage.
