Am writing a piece about it for DiS and not a 100% sure what I think about it. A few years ago I would've said it was evil and makes musicians seem desperate but so few acts are getting signed or gaining any exposure or traction from that exposure because very few people read the media (as the thread about mag sales shows).
So, wanna know what you think of it as show/concept but also here's my main crux for discussion, if you saw a band on the show (which is coming back soon, goes out on Sundays after Hollyoaks on Channel 4, has Alex James, Jo Whiley and the A&R who signed Duffy on the panel of judges </thisisnotajag>) would
a) hate them on principle
b) be accepting that it's a tv show if they argued why they were doing it in a reasonable way? (i.e. a bit like that Saul Williams rant re: Nike)
