I am not familiar with their music at all. But they're playing Peterborough, bizzarely. Worth seeing live?
I came in this thread to ask the exact same question. Also Devil Sold His Soul are also playing Peterborough while I'm around. Any Good?
Devil Sold His Soul. Johnny Truant are playing in December: they're definitely worth seeing.
So shall definitely be there if I'm about. Sadly they seem to be the only things of any note in the next few months.
No way! Not since Eden Maine has an event so splendid hit the 'boro. Unless you count Posh getting promoted last year. :oD
Whats the venue?
The centre of the metal universe.
They've had quite a few good bands there over the last year or so: Orange Goblin for instance!
Also, Mastodon played the Cresset after Eden Maine's gig, surely?
My band supported Eden Maine when they played the park. BRAG BRAG BRAG
Who were your band?
I miss CWNN
or Zadie Says. Can't remember which of them it would have been at the time.
Singer had dreads? Thats all I can remember.
Thats going back a few years.
I was the guitarist who didn't move.
This is surely craziness? I used to have my school assembies and do PE in there!
I did realise Id been a little harsh as I forgot about the Boosh Live at the Cresset too :o)
Nile are rubbish
Hilarious, saw a 16 year old in Carcass being sick in a lift..... Was the spirit of death metal
If so, fair enough.
I like Obituary, Death, Carcass, Entomed, Celtic Frost, At The Gates...
Aware some of these not strictly Death Metal...
but I was asking Bernard_Matthews (follow the indentations). Good list of bands though!
DSHS are just pants anyway, and I usually do like the type of band they're trying to be.
I don't like DSHS myself. Like I say, never really heard Nile, so I can't exactly defend them anyway!
is solid, haven't heard much since then though.
Unas Slayer of the Gods has the best use os double bass in a metal song ever.
5 mins into this roughly
is boss, though I've not heard anything since then. Go check 'em out
I'd be curious at least. I have one old album. I quite like their Egyptian shtick.
DSHS are slightly embarrassing and cheesy with an annoying frontman and a few good bits thrown in here or there. I wouldn't bother
