what yours - lets rid this music snobbery
There you go, snobbery abolished.
although I'm assuming it was an joke
I don't know why I like his quaint, folksy country stylings. I just do. His voice is like being caressed with natural yoghurt. And he was in a great Simpsons episode.
I feel justified. No more guilt, I promise.
i love them i do
oh and all drive-thru bands circa 2003-2004
i liked that song as well.
Juniour Senior are brilliant, the 2nd album is much better though, Le Tigre add a lot to it :D
considered "guilty" but I freely admit I LOVE
Here I Go Again On My Own
Anything from the Grease soundtrack
Lots of ABBA
Loads of Bee Gees stuff
Mr Blue Sky (I don't get people who say they don't like this song)
Hall & Oates stuff
Centrefold J Geils Band
Loads of pop songs lately that I think are fucking amazing some people are a bit snobby about - SOS, Crazy In Love, Umbrella etc
A good tune is a good tune.
im guilty about nothing i like its just the perception really that you should n't really like it
I feely admit it.
I couldn't give a hop, skip and a shit whether people think it's "cool/uncool" to listen to.
You shouldn't either.
Be a lover, not a hater.
and then just brought it back
you are just unable to break through your own barriers of music snobbery.
Do it - run naked, wild and free and do it to a soundtrack of Blancmange's Living on the Ceiling.
He also brought sexy back. WHURT?
is enough to make me think of office workers dancing ironically to terrible records they can't really remember from the first time round.
With this logic I have no records that I would file under this category.
"enough to make me think of office workers dancing ironically to terrible records they can't really remember from the first time round" is enough to make me reach for my copy of Philip Bailey & Phil Collins' Easy Lover and play it very loud to cleanse me of the acrid stench of wannabe 'cool' of that comment.
I fuckin' loath the phrase guilty pleasures and when i hear the phrase that's what I think of.
The fact that you listen to Phil Collins in any capacity means your opinion carries no weight
PHIL COLLINS GUILTY PLEASURES PHIL COLLINS GUILTY PLEASURES PHIL COLLINS GUILTY PLEASURES PHIL COLLINS GUILTY PLEASURES.
Cool your boots kiddo.
Try some Abba.
shits all over most of the stuff 'alternative' or 'indie' bands are producing these days
There, i did it ok?!? Now where did i leave my Deltron 3030 album?!
sultans of swing by dire straits
run to you by bryan adams
i ran by flock of seagulls
this beat is technotronic
whats my age again by blink 182
hand in my pocket by alanis morrisette
all remind me of nice happy times so i dont feel guilty one bit.
is a great track.
Now can we move on?
getting it... Razorlight are just shit, not a guilty pleasure.
They had the best string of singles of the past decade, easily. Nowt to be guilty for.
I don't seem to like shit music, so I don't need to feel guilty about it. My taste really is imaculate.
I'd openly admit it
A lot. Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra...
your opinion counts for nothing son.
you said. 'i don't seem to like shit music, so I don't need to feel guilty about it. My taste really is imaculate'
With a statement like that you are really putting yourself up there to be ripped.
Going by your profile it is quite clear that you do like some shite music and therefore your taste isnt 'imaculate'.
Muse? Block Party? Give it a rest you try hard.
I must have amazing music taste. ;)
I'm not bothered about anything else. Is your love of these two bands that shows you have poor taste and deems your musical opinions void. On your way, young grasshopper.
run to you by Brian Adams
wanted dead or alive by bon jovi
and some of the words to "i know him so well" off of chess: the musical
livin' joy - dreamer
I bet you've got nothing but Savage Garden records!
and Silverchair and Wolfmother and Jet.
mamas and papas (are they credible?)
80s fleetwood mac
has been a big part of my last fortnight.
but it's 'shackles' which is a fucking brilliant song.
THERE ARE NO "GUILTY" PLEASURES.
You like what you like and that's the end of it!
but saying GUILTY PLEASURES annoys wassisface up there which has got to be worth saying it for...
Jeez, you're doing this on purpose now.
I feel GUILTY now for messing up your reading PLEASURE.
does listening to various neds atomic dustbin albums count?
Simple minds - Don't You forget about me
sit down dear.
Dirty Dancing soundtrack - all.
I just listen to pitchfork tells me too.
though I prefer the Flashdance OST
I've never seen Flashdance.
Will probably be checking out 'Make it Happen' over the weekend. Yeah baby.
by Irene Cara was the first 12" single I owned. My mum bought it for me.
Depends on what you mean by pleasure. There's lot of music I think is quite shit that I dance to on nights out. Doesn't mean I actually rate the Dirty Dancing medley. OR maybe it does. I have had the time of my life. Hmm.
I would say Food Glorious Food by Oliver or the theme tune to Animaniacs but both of those are genius.
Samim, Heater. Wicked tune.
apart from the ashamed part
However, one song I absolutely love by a band widely derided on here is Fill My Little World by The Feeling.
LOOK AT ME! I'M MAINSTREAM!
i've always liked them, songs for Polarbear,When it's all over we still have to clear up and Final Straw are all really good.
i love it.
i feel like i shouldn't, but i think it's one of the best albums of the 90s. it'd probably be in my top 10.
Sweet Catatonia, Bleed etc
Chris Rea - Road to Hell
Bananarama - Cruel Summer
Robert Miles - One & One
Dana International - Diva (ha! top that one!!)
Chris Rea? OUCH.
have something for french girls,
haven't you ?
especially after seeing american psycho.
