listened to it again the other day. it was pretty good. some of its real purdy like
I used to love that album. They were severely underrated I felt, and deserved a lot more.
In This Light Will You Fight Me?, Cloaking, Western Battle, and He Collects Dust are amazing songs. I might listen to this album tonight.
although I always preferred Surviving the Quiet... I saw Kev in my local last weekend too - heheh!
Desert Stretched Before The Sun is lovely also, as well as the more rocking singles off it.
cloaking also rocks. i wasnt even aware that they had other records til i searched for them on last fm last night and heard some off the later record, which were really accomplished
A great album!
The first half is a sequence of back to back genius songs.
That and As the Cry Flows are my favourites. I hope they do another one soon.
i have a tape with this and hefner we love the city in my car. it has been my favourite car-tape for quite a while now.
i wasnt expecting such an overwhelmingly warm reception for seafood! brilliant
listening to this album for the first time in ages yesterday. In my opinion it shits all over the rest of Seafood's stuff.
I especially love Western Battle.
definitely their best record. Although As The Cry Flows is good in a Mojave 3 rip-off kind of way.
Did anyone ever hear the remix of Toggle on the Cloaking single? It's great.
but there's a remix of Splinter that's one of the worst things I've ever heard.
this one's really dubby and sounds like Seefeel.
i think i sold it when i was skint or something, i can't find it.
as the cry flows just about, but this one is brilliant too.
the first one thats not really an album is brilliant too with psychic rainy nights.
they still doing / planning to do stuff?
Not sure whether it will ever become something though.
the one before was really good.
surviving the quiet i think.
a bit disappointing when i saw them.
,,,in a baby sonic youth stylee (thats a good thing btw)
and they were brilliant at Reading when they touring this. Lost track of them after As the cry flows. What was the last one like?
and started a fight on the 'When do we start fighting' tour in Wolves. he climbed on satge being a knob and elbow dropped agirl in the face. The least i could do was throw him across the room. it was during folk Song crisis as well. The room parted for me when i left!
works in my local independent book shop - fact.
Good band, they're still around aren't they?
tour for old times sake. The singer from Fighting With Wire / guitarist in jetplane Landing was helping out on bass. Him and Caroline were pulling moonies while David did his solo acoustic spot. haha
left it on, and it's got a hidden track. It's a waste of time, but it's there!
