they actually are the funnest band ever arent they?
theyve perfected crossover thrash. so if you like stuff like that i would reccomend them yes
i didnt mean they were the first, but i think they do it just about as well as anyone else.
SSS are good too, i was listening to them as well earlier, theyre good live too.
Should have caught them when they played that last tour. Are they at Reading?
me too, ive only really listened to them a lot more recently, really hope i get to see them live
so maybe theyll play some more when they are over here
Seeing both them and Valient Thor in the same weekend at Download was awesome
Also one of them is in the weed themed death metal band Cannabis Corpse, mummified in bong water is personal fave. you into any other thrash crossover stuff like D.R.I, Bones Brigade, Annihilation Time?
i prefer D.R.I. earlier stuff which is less crossover really, but i bought thrash zone the other day and its quite good.
Annihilation time are good too from what ive heard, and ive been listening to stuff like SOD, Cro Mags (obviously) Suicidal tendencies and what not as well.
I think crossover is pretty patchy at times, but when its done right its so awesome.
Ill check out bones brigade too.
is 'I Hate My Self When I'm Not Skateboarding'
and in most cases I try not to be negative about music, because I don't see the point.
In this case, I make an exception, on both counts.
its so much fun, and fast and loud and awesome!
UNLEASH THE BASTARDS!!!
Loads of fun live too.
Someone at work came in the other day and was like "Oh I found a badge on the floor, Rob you like music, you have it" It was for Municipal Waste and I've been wondering who they are
Municipal Waste are a Crossover Thrash band from Richmond, Virginia formed in 2001. Municipal Waste manage to push the envelope of Crossover still further nearly 25 years after the sound was created… They are known for their loud, drunken, party atmosphere and rowdy show attendees. Municipal Waste’s members are mostly in their twenties. Occasionally, they have been known to play unscheduled shows late at night. Municipal Waste are a crucial element of Richmond culture, and with 3 albums under their belts, including 2007’s The Art of Partying, Municipal Waste are quickly gaining a reputation for being some of the reigning kings of crossover thrash. Playing at This Is For You Fest ‘05 in Daytona Beach, FL and at Super Sabado Gigante Fest 2 in January of 2006 CA, they continue to gain national acclaim in the metal scene. Their concerts in Pittsburgh were frequently filled to maximum capacity, due in part to their friendship with local band Crucial Unit. Municipal Waste has toured Australia.
They had a successful 2006 US tour in support of Gwar. Staying on the road for a while, they then toured the US with Destruction in early 2007.
so yeah, theyre pretty great
Jesus Christ you're out of luck, let's thrash that fuck!
Tony cut in front of me at the bar at one of their gigs once. I was annoyed, then amused because they bought a lot of Jagermeister, then annoyed again.
just look at it
with 'just one pepsi' on the peak. It seemed like a good idea at the time but once we got to the gig...no.
did you take it off straight away?
It just felt wrong. Should have gone with a boogie board or dressed up as a mountain wizard like everyone else
