If I had to spend say £30, maybe £40 on some headphones, any suggestions on which I should get?

and they recommended some Sennheiser ones that cost £29.
They are in-ear ones that fit to your ear canal and therefore cut out a lot of background noise, so pretty good if you have the beginnings of ear problems like I do.
They are so good I nearly got run over the other day when not really paying enough attention....

Sennheiser PX200 - only £20.
Anything with a bit of bass sounds shit. So unless you only listen to Classical or Acoustic music - steer well clear.
