WITH-EH MAAAOUTH OF THE OH-SHUUUUUUUUN
this thread, I'm listening to Ashes To Ashes by Faith No More right now
I'm now listening to Naked In Front Of The Computer.
This album is so underrated.
Was my favourite from that album though, but thanks to you I'll give them both a nostalgic listen.
stripsearch was my outstanding track from that album too.
lovely lovely, with that nice outro too
i'm off to dig out album of the year.

did you know Mike Patton did the voice of The Darkness in the computer game The Darkness, and the voice of the Anger Chip in the computer game Portal?
I did not know that! :)
did you know that Mike Patton does the voice of TV advertising's Barry Scott?
got a big cartoon, scary dog being held by a cop on it?
I need to dig this out now too!
Your help is appreciated in this matter.
That was a different one.
'Ashes to Ashes' in on Album Of The Year.
King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime, also a great album.
This takes me back :-) Remember seeing them do Ashes To Ashes on TFI Friday. Last Cup Of Sorrow, from the same album - also great
Did you know Mike Patton was predicted by Nostradamus?
“In the year 1999, and seven months from the sky will come the great King of Terror. He will bring life to the great King of the Mongols. Before and after war reigns happily.”
is Mike Patton really the King Of Terror, though?
They always give a balanced perspective on things.
is the only person to have made a hamburger entirely out of ham?
is the only person in the world whose vocal emanations can be heard within a vacuum, hence the phrase
"In space, no-one can hear you scream unless you're Mike Patton".
holds the Guinness World Records for most appearances on musical releases within 24 hours, guesting on 76 albums that all came out on the same day?
Is the first human being to successfully clone himself, choosing the keep the discovery low key in fear that there are some who will use the power unwisely.
Unfortunately however, once a clone is made, it's instinct is to try and kill the other Mike Patton and a fight to the death inevitably ensues.
Nobody is sure whether the Mike Patton we hear about today is the original or a victorious clone.
But unfortunately only Mike Patton knows / knew what the test is / was.
much like a cow, Mike Patton has four stomachs allowing him to digest all substances known to man?
for minor league baseball team the Lancaster Jethawks. (That's Lancaster, California).
's band "Faith No More" were originally called "Faithfullness Is Not A Virtue That We Shall Subscribe To For Any Future Amount Of Time"?
Apparently, they made a banner for their earliest gigs that they used to hang at the back of the stage, but due to the raucous nature of their audiences, they often had to repair or remake the banner from scratch.
The amount they were spending on banner maintenance was getting to be so much that the band could not afford to continue operating this way so Mike made the decision to shorten the name to "Faith No More".
probably the worst FNM song by far
you dont even have FNM in your top artist ratings?
that would be Das Schutzenfest.
but at least it was more in line with FNM's whole ethos of just doing what the hell they liked.
Ashes to Ashes in particular and indeed Album of the Year in general are so lacking in FNM's usual style and emotion... it just chugs along and sounds awfull.
There are some 'ok' tracks on AOTY, but that was such a low album to go out on. Plus that whole suit buisness was a seriously bad idea as well, as Terrorvision, Motley Crue etc also did the same thing at that time.
Me, I just like shouting along with the chorus.
just thinking about this song is making me snigger.
