beecame the special mann
now we were conor's band
and go glam.
think of the sales.
an a couple of the other really stripped back ones with him and a guitar are where its at. The rest I can take or leave. I love that dude though he is a legend.
since you seem to think its a good'un.
I maybe just miss old school bright eyes too much.
is they are going into this album as if it was the next Bright Eyes album, it isnt so dont think that way.
then everyone would know the difference
but it does kind of sound like cassadaga so I can see why people think of it as a new bright eyes album.
is way more interesting musicaly than this one. I'm bored by the instrumentation already on this one but those bright eyes records have some depth to the sound and not just stright up county bland stuff all the way thru. For me Conor Oberst has to either strip it back to accoustic and his voice, really spares, fragile and beautiul or lay it on with some strange sounds.
and didnt have the shambolic charm of lifted, he has covered the completely stripped back approach on wide awake and doubt he will be able to equal it but I like this solo albums simple sound
on Cassadaga where a lil to much yeah it aint his best by anymeans. The simple stuff is alright I dunno it doesn't keep my attention as much.
suited the songs themselves perfectly - just like the rest of his albums.
But agreed, I don't think the songs themselves or the instrumentation was very interesting. Just, sorta... right.
he should change his name to conor starburst
that was the joke...
