Post War Years were truly quite awful.
Wild Beasts best I have seen them so far (I think that was my 6th time now). Really impressive. Liked the little interludes and vignettes between or before some of the songs. They have become a seriously impressive live band.
But the 100 Club was only about half full. I cannot understand how this band is not much, much bigger.
apparently
they are on at 9.30pm
just warning...
thanks for the tip!

HOLY SMOKES
Wild Beasts were good!
They were amazing
I was transfixed for the whole thing, totally worth going alone for.
That band that played before them were easily one of the worst things I've ever seen though.
The Post War Years?
They had lots of energy, and very tight strides, but were quite generic. They weren't that bad though, surely?
Wild Beasts were awesome. Technically, just incredible. Best British band I've seen this year, with the possible exception of The Indelicates.
BTW, I was the tall guy with glasses doing the mailing list. Highlight of the evening? Asking the bass player to join his own mailing list. Good work!
Generic
is an understatement! But I shall leave the bitchy comments there.
Ah you totally asked me to join the mailing list but I informed you I already had done. Hello.
If I may be completely shallow for a moment, they are also an incredibly handsome bunch too.
Absolutely

They'll get there
With good luck and a following wind. Might take a second album and a lot of touring, but they've definitely got the potential to be massive.
