I got 93%... shouldn't be that hard to get 100.
My top 20 isn't very eclectic at all.
i'm lyke sooo eclectic!
in the super eclectic test
figures distorted by inclusion of Red House Painters, Sun Kill Moon and Mark Kozelek in my top 10
585 on the super-electic score
which puts me riiiiight in the middle
and 630 with the super-eclectic test
I manipulated my scores in the space of a few hours up to 91 and 664
The artists promoted were Brigade, Cribs, Maccabees, Gui Boratto and St Etienne. Those demoted were LC!, MEW, Atlas Sound, Pete & the Pirates and Liars :(
- illustrates how easily statistics can be made to appear 'better' while the substance does not change much at all or even gets 'worse'
and 641/1000 for superrr
I don't have variation in my life.
I don't really get it... but it might be right
I'm not 97/100 :D
and 594 for super, seems okish
That's a little bit embarrassing really. But not that surprising.
That's not to say I'm not well versed in different genres. I guess I just know what I like, and that happens to span maybe 3 or 4 genres that overlap anyway.
Last FM identifies similar artists 'based on overall listening habits'. So what a low score means is that you listen to a number of (perhaps) diverse selections of artists but other people made the same choices.
In other words your eclectic score would rise if you were less like the typical DiSer - the vast majority of whom will be thinking the same as you, but too shy to post a score!
For further evidence take Times New Viking - is it really like Future of the Left or Black Kids, I don't think so. But on LastFM groups them together.
If your score is small (lower than 70) your musical preferences are very limited, and if it is large (larger than 80), then you have an eclectic musical preference.
what the frig?
theboredone's super-eclectic score is
that makes more sense
yeah, about right.
It's certainly no 90+
But i'm working on it.
but it's a pretty rubbish test if you ask me. wouldn't stand up in a statistics thesis...
It's out of 1000, and takes the top 50 of your artists.
602/1000 for super eclectic, not so good.
Usr name Twatwheel
Better than i expected to be honest.
All he listens to is Metallica, so not very eclectic.
He gets 96 on the eclectic scale.
I'm being completely literal.
bit suprised. only just started using last fm again recently. then again, this test is silly
deal with that shit...oh, it's not that good is it.
Suprising considering I only listen to a few genres, and nothing quiet.
this must be wrong. I listen to nothing
not bad at all.
And 641 in super-eclectic.
go me, i think...?
i got 738 on super eclectic test though :P
and 635. not too bad.
but surely, the high % doesn't always been better? A high % could just mean you listen to sun o))) as well as Pavement. Ok, it's eclectic, but it's still shit. Ya get me.
This is probably because for the last few weeks I have just been listening to music released in 2011 on shuffle.
753 on the super eclectic test
I guess I'm not cool now
didn't even try
But the test is pretty rubbish, you can get a decent score with just 100 scrobbles.
like a baseball bat
Plus I got 820/1000 on the super-eclectic test, so you know it's true.
It can fuck off. There's no way my Last.FM taste is eclectic.
which is pretty good, considering I've only had my current iTunes/last fm account since the summer.
which isn't bad at all!
708/1000 for the super thing. Mehs
ok I guess
Guess that's alright.
pretty good I guess.
