i still havnt ordered a ticket yet though. Think it was around this time last year when i bought mine.
I was undecided about it for ages, but £25 ish is really worth it.
looking forwward to it. especially after wild in the stupid country was cancelled. still seething
in the improvements of the bars and toilets?
I've heard horror stories.
Not happy about Guincho and Lindstrom missing though.
I have faith....only tentative faith though after last year.
it cant be like last year, it just cant, otherwise there will be riots, im sure of it
there was such a furore last year (and it really was horrendous) that they must have seen the error of their ways.
Everyone's going to be on them so tight if they bodge up they probably won't be able to do it again next year
Whenever anyone I know queues for beer nowadays Field Day is mentioned. I was so thirsty.
Take a sneaky bottle just in case.
i'm dubious about (i.e. with regards to last year's organisation, or lack thereof) is a tad risque
maybe if the weather is as good as last year ...
and if I like you I might invite you to my preliminary barbecue
a) how bad was it last year? On a 1 - 10 scale?
b) what are the (realistic) chances of the abovementioned being remedied this year?
c) if i come down can i crash on your floor and pay you in whisky?
8 1/2 (ten being the worst)
i think realistically they shouldnt have TOO much trouble in sorting these problems out.
depends what whisky
I had a really good time last year queue and volume levels aside.
I really don't know, you'd think so but the arrogance of their response last year still leaves a bad taste in the mouth.
I'm rather excited about this year, I'd say the line up is alot better. Hopefully the sound and the queues are too.
aaaaaah, damn moving flats!! And damn being skint from moving flats. However, it's POSSIBLE i could make it. I'm still deliberating.
If you don't I'll be lonely, and given the fact that last year's Field Day was a disaster for me (in many ways), I might just end up hang myself from the NME stage.
However, that weekend is also prime OT at work, so i'd miss out on another 150 bucks from that too.
you can get tickets for face value (26.50) at the lock tavern apprently.
And to save on accomodation costs it's looking likely that me and a few friends will be getting the train there, doing field day, doing the afterparty, then getting the train back. Hardcore or foolish? The latter probably.
Looking forward to MAE SHI the most, there's other good acts obvs but seen them before...
And last year I spent an hour in a crushing bar queue feeling like I was going to die, had to excape with no drinks in the end. That was pretty bad. But I have faith! And we're going to get drunk before/sneak booze in. Somehow.
there was talk of a party..
someone else invite everyone for a party.
I'm not going, i'll be in france
with my housemate and a load of others for his birthday and we're having a party afterwards.
And come to a barbecue at mine beforehand
I have an image of you as the Ferrero Rocher man, wandering round handing out tasty spiced meats. It's a good look.
with this piri piri you are really spoiling us
of an exquisite table centrepiece platter consisting of artfully arranged Kraft slices.
There’s no way that they aren’t going to get the toilets and bars right this year, as Vian says, there’ll be riots if not. I know a few people that have refused to go to any shows by Eat Your Own Ears, Bugged Out, etc. as a result, but I know an awful lot more that have given them the benefit of the doubt until they see what happens this time around. I don’t think that the line up is as strong as a result of the word of mouth that spread about last year’s organisation, but it’s still stupidly good for £25.
Personally, I’ve not really got any hard feelings about last year. As a male with a working appendage, I was able to relieve myself without queuing for (literally) hours, and it was so hot that I drank water from the standpipes rather than beer from the bar. Having said that, I ended up getting very hungry due to the lack of vegetarian options. I think what rubbed a lot of people up the wrong way was the ‘apology’ that was sent out to everyone afterwards in which it was suggested that they didn’t realise it was so bad due to it being wonderful in the VIP area.
does it sell out? what do people think? i want to go but haven't got a shilling to my name at the present moment.
like ^^ said. it they didnt it'd be shocking.
Im going but Im gutted Dirty Projectors have pulled out. Anyone know why?
