'lo everyone. This is a microJag.
I play guitar, saw, ukulele, banjo and other stuff in a band called Fireworks Night; I also play guitar & write music for a band called The Monroe Transfer. Slowly, we're just about getting somewhere in the music world and (between us) have three records coming out later this year.
I've started writing about what's going on, partly because I like the idea of keeping track of this stuff, and partly because I thought someone might find it useful to hear tales of what it's like, being a struggling, occasionally-touring, low-to-mid-level musician in the world. We can all learn by sharing our mistakes. So, if you'd be interested to hear about how maddening it is, screenprinting a thousand card CD sleeves by hand at my house, being given porn by bands in motorway service stations, our various attempts to persuade anyone to listen to our music, and lots of free music to listen to, have a look at...
I'd like it a lot if you did. It would make me happy.
Thanks, and apologies for length. Fnaar.
