Probably been done a million times. My favourite is Animals by Pink Floyd, it's just brilliant.
I also like the sneaky reference to it in Children of Men. I've always been a fan of the ludicrously pretentious artwork to 'Six' by Mansun.
It mirrors the sound of the album in that it's really not what you expect from the Beach Boys...
i barely know anything about Sonic Youth but one day i will buy that record on the strength of it's cover.
You can get the 'Goo' t shirt in any old shitshop or 'I'm so alternative, it HURTS' boutique
I have a sonic youth t-shirt *cringe*
and most recently Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters by The Twlight Sad:
Beachy Head, suicide hotspot = brilliant cover.
Just really good.
it is a cool cover
!!!'s "Myth Takes" all day long.
especially as it's a real fish on his face, no computer trickery. In the 33 1/3 book about the album he talks about having to wear it all day under hot lights, the smell...ugh!
El Guincho's Alegranza, and sticking with the Hispanic theme, Como Te Llama by Albert Hammond Jr.
Kate Bush - Lionheart
Parliament - Mothership Connection
SFA - Mwng
Mos Def - Black on Both Sides
Grace Jones - Island Life
cassadega by bright eyes, with the magic looking glass and all the crazy pictures.
It cost me £18 so maybe I'm a bit bitter about it all.
The picture of the crying girl really moves me for some reason. Perfect cover for the music on the album too.
Probably not my favourite, but I like all the colours and things going on.
I like the idea of this:
Lennon came up with the idea to use that as the cover for their final record. What an idea. They didn't even stick to it, the idiots, and instead chose the shitty one they have for Let It Be. A real shame.
But its brilliant. I'm going to be a journalist here - it says a lot about the rapid change of the 60s and the band themselves, as well as the attitudes of pop culture and stuff. Yeah.
maybe the beatles revolver artwork, its beautiful
pulps this is hardcore
dunno, one of those two
