Is he any good?
2. all of the whiskeytown records
3. love is hell
5. all of the recent stuff esp. cold roses.
7. bootlegs, covers, stupid cover bands
10000000001. rock and roll.
it's not that bad.
They're all £3 (Including pneumonia by Whiskeytown)except for easy tiger and heartbreaker which are still a bargain at £5.
start with Heartbreaker and like the dude somewhere above me said, just go through them one by one,i do find myself attatched to Demolition and 29 quite a bit tho.
then I'd say stick with the sad acousticy stuff - the rock is a bit bland
definitely for the sad acoustic songs, love is hell for dark and gloomy songs, gold for the more polished soft rock songs and cold roses for country/folky songs. they are my 4 favourites. but they're all good.
you're missing out on what may be his best sad acoustic song - Strawberry Wine.
elizabeth, you were born to play that part <3
because I wanted to get into him.
Thought that it was a bit pap at first but now I love it like a little brother.
Please ignore all the hate Rock And Roll gets, I think it's a very good album.
is only £5 on play.com
I may purchase it.
Rock N Roll is a very good album and is seriously underrated. With everyone bigging up Heartbreaker, Gold, etc I am surprised no one has mentioned Cold Roses, it's superb! Absolutely up there with his best work!
29 and strangers almanac by whiskeytown are my favourites.
yes, he's amazing. pretty much my favourite songwriter.
actually, if you have anything you don't want, i have a copy of strangers almanac i'll trade - it's just been reissued as a lovely 2CD edition and getting rid of my current copy will force me to upgrade!
Heartbreaker and Love is Hell are all you really need.
29, Cold Roses and Gold have their moments
i despise jacksonville, and rock'n roll is vile.
