Biffy clyro's cover of Franz Ferdinand's take me out is pretty immense.
All My Friends... at least reaches the same level of perfection of the orginal.
but it doesn't touch the original, sadly.
...Why does everyone love this cover so much, it's terrible.
doing Ticket to Ride and Eight Miles High.
The originals ain't too shabby either
...a link to Kylie's version of St Etienne's Nothing Can Stop Us? The best cover version ever
(apart from The Mission's Like A Hurricane)

you'll take any excuse to mention rammstein and type o!
and Sonic Youth's cover of Computer Age by Neil Young is better than the original.

'Ghost Rider' by Suicide is absolutely fucking insane.
covering 'baby's on fire' - awesome.
but this amps it up and makes it fucking WIN
do a pretty good version of the Sugarcubes Birthday. I like it better than the original, many probably wouldnt.
the Supergrass cover (b-side to Sun Hits The Sky) of Some Girls Are Bigger Than Others is god damn great!
sounds like my worst nigntmare, not sure I ever want to hear it.
this sounds amazing, i didn't know it existed :D
Colin Meloy. It's spine tingling, much more emotional than Morrissey's original.
version of Landslide. I love Fleetwood Mac but this version is better.
Other than that every song on the UI'm Not There soundtrack. Bob Dylan is a great songwriter but his voice is too grating so these versions are definitely welcome.
by The Fall is marvellous.
Most of the songs they cover are decent originals. This isn't.
I'm sure Jo Whiley would approve though.
Otis Redding - Satisfaction
Wedding Present - Come up and see me
Grace Jones - La Vie En Rose
I think Bryan Ferry's "Jealous Guy" knocks Lennon's into a tim hat.
I prefer Jeff Buckley's version of "Hallelujah" to Leonard Cohen's.
<awaits hail of bullets>
Have Love Will Travel & Louie Louie both originally by Richard Berry
any cover Jeff Buckley did
The Light 3000 by the Smiths
