Favourite band trinkets?
I once received a fully signed copy of 100 Broken Windows from Idlewild the postage said it was from California. Wierd, I must have won a comp after filling in one of those little cards you used to get in CDs to join the fan club I suppose.
Anyway what bit and bobs have you got by your beloved musical heroes?

NME gave away free cheapo cardboard kanye shutter shades in one mag, anyway i ended up selling the bastards for £30+ on ebay, but some went for nearly £50! They were flimsy cardboard for gods sake!!

Alex Kapranos's sweaty stage towel from an NME tour, a load of drumsticks from various Super Furries tours, Metallica guitar picks, Supersuckers drum skin with messages from all the band from a gig in New York, a signed dollar bill from one of the Metallica lot, signed Scissor Sister knickers (don't ask), my fave is not a music one though - my very own ink splattered drawing doodle from very the hand of Ralph Steadman in my copy of Fear & Loathing. What a nice man he was.

Oh, and perhaps not one to
shout about - but from the late 80s my mum has a pair of Gary Glitter leather studded stage gauntlets.
I think the bottom might have dropped out of that niche market though...
And how can I forget - Bill Hicks signed poster from show in Nottingham (92 I think).

in other news i bought an album off ebay think it was the liars or something anyway the seller through in a HARD-FI badge(?!?!?!) the cheek of him. CD was mint but still left him negative feedback for this heinous gesture

- a piece of cloth that used to be a lovely benetton shirt with L7's signatures on it from their Reading 92 signing (no tampon required)
- An article that mentions Silversun Pickups and Amy Blue in the same breath ("best and worst smashing pumpkins impressions 2006, Detroit Times), I got Brian Silversun to sign it
- A Bearsuit art print with all their signatures on, my firend got a presigned one and in a state of drunkenness I marched round all of them demanding they sign mine too
- The new Black Angels album signed by half the band, was touched at how nice they were offstage
I have a signed copy of the pumpkin's zeitgeist but am not too proud of that...
I've
got a wind-up Turbonegro musicbox, when you turn the little handle it plays a musicbox version of 'I Got Erection'. By the way I'm not making this up.

I went to see Maximo Park
do a tv show recording. I my cd of theirs to one of the guys i know to get them to sign it.
He did, it came back entitled 'dear shithead....'
Then i got to hang out with Paul and the rest of the band for a couple of nights. Good times.
