Faith No More
'You're living all over me' if you like big slices of lo-fi sunshine fuzz. 'Where you been' is a much more grown-up and sober effort and would be a better buy for someone who likes Neil Young vocals and insane guitar solos welded together. Takes yr pick. Everyone else will say 'you're living all over me'.
...I always thought everyone considered 'Bug' to be the definitive Dinosaur jr album.
It's got 'Freak Scene' on it.
but... it's quite dark and disjointed in places (not that that's a terrible thing necessarily) and doesn't have the warmth and personality of 'you're'. Freak Scene is indeed a tune, but nothing else on 'Bug' comes anywhere near it.
but i think angel dust for faith no more
and i just watched the video for 'epic' on youtube, mike patton sounds like a cross between anthony kiedis and the guy out of spacehog.
its not fair also wtf is he doing in ^^ video.
i dont think i meant spacehog originally, singer's voice isnt as nasal as i remember it being, maybe i'm mixing them up with marion or something
about a year ago.
It was one of those moments where you realised that not one single detail of the scene that was unfolding in front of you made any sense whatsoever!
for Faith No More
actually, get Angel Dust.
My personal favourite is My Brother the Cow, I was 15 when it was released and heartily sick of Pearl Jam/Soundgarden et al by then.
The Superfuzz Bigmuff compilation is also essential.
