Supposing a company, especially small to medium sized companies, refuse to pay for the license, it would mean less people exposed to your music as no one would hear it? Less chance of people attending gigs etc?
then fair enough
but it does apply to taxi drivers. What the difference is, however, I'm not so sure.
and have to give some of her annoying mates, that I don't know, a lift home too?
