but they were still phenomenal. Love Eight Miles High and Ballad of Easy Rider. At the moment I'm loving Chestnut Mare for the horse/woman metaphor!
and as you say their best songs were Dylan covers!
Beatles never came up with anything even half as good as Eight Miles High.
While The Beatles were arsing around with psuedo-psychedelia about marmalade taxis or whatever, Byrds were busy melting people's faces.
the notorious byrd brothers is the best album of all time.
statement is so absurdly incorrect, I can only you are trying to be provocative and controversial!!!
i think they COULD have been better than the beatles, but fell a bit short, especially if we are talking about aggregate quality
