How about you? Just one band though.
I hope they start making a new one soon.
would love a bigger sound too :)
A mix of the insane riffing of Mars Volta and the rockstyle of Sparta would make me jizz my pants.
Let's face it, they would never live up to In the Aeroplane... so it would almost certainly end up being a disappointment.
which was written post In The Aeroplane...is as good as, if not better than, some songs on it.
the next album would have been amazing, just because ITAOTS was so good does not mean that one has to pessimistic as to the ability of the band surpass it... see OK Computer and KID A, as a lesser example of the same thing.
Get on with it!
There last post on their own website was in February and said 'we're not dead'.
ARRRRGGGHHHHHHHHH. I need more!
YEAH. NEW CIRCLE IS MUCH NEEDED.
After hearing Ritual Of Names, I know they're still up and breathing and making music to weep at the sheep power of, but that doesn't mean they have a new album in my hot little fan girl hands.
GODDAMNIT. NEW ALBUM NOW.
well something is (prob an ep) in autumn sometime apparently
Shellac for years now. Regardless what some may say, its just not quite the same.
with the exception of steak and onions nothing by Rapeman has half the clout of 'At Action Park', '1000 Hz' or 'Excellent Italian Greyhound'
you can't really beat action park.....
its just that shellac is just sometimes too precise, and 2 nuns just has shitloads of crazy punk energy.
oh and david wm sims is an amazing bass player.
How I miss them :(
(I know they haven't released the first one yet - that's what I'm waiting for). Revolve was so, so good. MORE.
Get a move on
2009 is Sufjan year, 12 states, 12 albums, released on the 1st of each month
In January we get 'Baked Alaska'
I can't tell if I'm being gullible and/or thick or not. I was believing this until I got to the Baked Alaska bit now and that sounds all weird and I don't know what to think.
and Elliott Smith
or Mojave 3. They've been away for ages.
their last album was in 2006.
I miss them
Who's with me?
At The Drive-In
Just to see if they still have the skills to pay the bills, basically.
One day. I'm still keeping the faith.
I'm obligated to say Goblin Cock
Something mellow. Sadly not to be
Another double album would be even better.
Though if it's pants, it'll crush me.
gone too soon that lot. sniff.
More shouty noisey wails please
Statues was such a schizo album, it would have been majorly compelling to see what they did next. Awww :(
I can't believe nobody has said PAVEMENT yet.
So I said it.
I'm also gonna say My Bloody Valentine, because fuck. Get on with it already, boys.
Cutting Pink With Knives
is wrong! Avalanches are just one of the best things ever, u other FUGAZZZI FANS and so on have been spoilt with toones of EPs and Albums in the past, let us have our fucking follow up album!
but I think they ued up all the records and samples in the world for the last one, they have to wait untill there is another 200 years worth of tunes recorded I reckon.
I know there's been one recently, but I hope his mental state isn't such that he won't release another album. Also, it's been said a million times, but bloody Tom Vek!
best. band. ever.
all of them, none of this bloody 'presents' lark.
ahh go on kev
Also, Cuban Linx 2 finally appearing would be nice.
And I'm a bit suprised no-one's mentioned Andrew WK yet.
Desaparecidos or The Blood Brothers
Though it probably wouldn't be the same without Chris Acland.
That said, Crowded House have successfully returned sans Paul Hester, so you never know...
(other bands, if I had the option: Mansun, Strangelove).
