I'm a bit stuck in a rut regarding running music. what are good albums to go running to?
run too fast and hard and be knackered after 100 metres.
45:33 by LCD SS is also very good as it kind of has a warm up and cool down section after the main bulk of the beats. Bit like Eno, very effective.
Touching Down by Roni Size for fast paced madness.
There's alot of good Fabriclive albums that work well, Diplo's is my current favourite.

Managed an extra 3 miles to my normal 5 mile jog because of this bad boy.
I normally find dance music with a good beat does the trick.
Basement Jaxx - Kish Kash / Rooty
Justice - Cross
The Blood Brothers - Burn, Piano Island, Burn!
Ash Ra Tempel - First
Fujiya & Miyagi - Transparent Things
Neu! - s/t
Foals - Antidotes *ducks*
Generally I find kraut rock or anything with an insanely good drummer works best for me. Metal's always good too; Boris, Pelican and Isis are generally on pretty heavy rotation.
The Field and Pantha Du Prince records are pretty good too; better than that fucking LCD Soundsystem gimmick (which I may or may not have fallen for) if you're looking for electronica.
i just want to avoid getting into a 'the foalz are liek shit lolz' argument with anyone, because it's incredibly tiresome.
its well fun
although i don't want to accuse people of not liking something purely because it's popular, which is a ridiculous argument, i do get the impression foals get a slightly raw deal because they look like archetypal hipsters. anywhoo...i think they're a really interesting, intelligent pop band, and i love their approach to guitar parts, and they make running an altogether more enjoyable experience.
Also see: Gold Chains - Young Miss America, as it's quite similar (and can be bought off amazon used and new for stupidly low prices)
Dan Deacon - Spiderman of the Rings
you may have 'no quibbles' with this choice but backstage at the Rossi/Parfitt gig is where you'll find the 'quo nibbles'
I managed to wake up half an hour before I start work, and the walk alone is 25 minutes. I put on 'Plague Soundscapes' by The Locust and that did the job nicely. I imagine 'HLLYH' by the Mae Shi is pretty good running music too.
