and most other fest sites :D
I'm rally jellouse I couldn't go :(
It also beats the hell out of most festivals as it has all the good bands.....
it felt like the future: an indie future where vodka is poured liberally and without measures, where old bands reform and are actually still good and were everything is like blade runner.
We speculated over the whole 3 days about what it was. It always looked like it was the world's greatest stand, but we soon realised it would be unsafe as hell and there was no way of getting up there. A bit of me still believes it is, though.
there's another one lurking around the music board somewhere
it was basically the best 3 days i can remember in a long time, with no exageration.
got a bit tiring by the third day
that thing is pretty cool though, primavera is awesome.
If i wanted a seat there were actual stands to watch the bands from and the food court always had spare tables.
although now you mention it the food was pretty good, fresh ingredients at a festival, who knew?
i just remember my legs feeling a bit achey brakey by the time sonic youth hit their second hour last year
im sorry :(
wasn't there last year!
I thought it was a cool site but they went a bit overboard with their ESTRELLA DAMM signs.
ps Estrella Damm
at the bottom of the steps, like watching bands in some sort of bizzare future/past roman/alien ampitheatre.
estrella damm is really good, and along with gracias, hola, cerveca it is now what i think of instead of the actual word for "a beer"
"MIXED DRINK" (with no mixer) is the way to go there. Here's another nice picture with Black Lips and the sea/a boat:
it felt nice and intimate being down that little lane.
i was sitting down the front though, hmmm
from up there I have to say. Low were amazing from up there, as was watching the guy from Built To Spill getting multiple electric shocks from his microphone. Mike Patton & Fennesz was the worst thing I ever did see. Thus endeth my review of the ATP stage 2007.
because of all the problems at the start
yeah mike patton & fennesz was pretty bad. we watched the apples in stereo and discovered it can be too sunny sometimes.
this is me hanging out with King Buzzo from the Melvins
Fuck fields and hills and trees - what we want is a big carpark.
sailboat and cruiser!
just looks really industrial and concrete and cold.
why would you want to watch music in a field?
It's actually pleasant weather!
i nodded at you in greeting as i recognise you from all the atps, but i wouldnt say that was a meeting as such!
