Anyone know? Thanks
Last time I saw them they were alright
port o brien are support tonight
bon iver is on at 8.45 - 9.45
port o'brien are on straight after evening sermon
port o'brien with bon iver?
The Primavera show was nothing short of magnificent.
Are apparently on at 7:30, which is irksomely early as I only finish playing football in Chiswick at 7:00.
These people have no consideration for five-a-side goalkeepers.
noooooo! when are we going to find time to eat....?
grab a sneaky beer...?
7:30 Port O Brien
8:45 Bon Iver
We are sending this to all ticket buyers today
But also just to let your label ticket buy know as well
"Just a few points to note for anyone coming to next week’s very special and intimate sold out Bon Iver show at St Giles church, Soho on June 4th.
The venue is a beautiful 300 year old Palladian church, and this means that although the sound and atmosphere will be amazing, there will be some limitations.
There is no bar in the church itself, though The Angel, a very nice Sam Smiths pub is right next door, and Soho institution The Intrepid Fox is opposite. The interval will be long enough that you can get a quick drink and get back to the show.
There is only one toilet in the church. We strongly advise that you use the toilets in the pubs mentioned above if you want to avoid long queues."
Hope you enjoy this special and show and thanks for coming
totally missed Port O'Brien, and just got in in time for Bon Iver WHO WAS AMAZING.
I haven't heard applause like that after the last song when he was in the middle of the church. It was almost like he couldn't believe what was happening. One of those artist/audience as 'one' moments.
no mention of a cabin ;)
the setlist was virtually identical to last Saturday (1 extra song), and that gig was brilliant anyway, last night was even more spectular. The setting in the church, the singing during Wolves, the more and more euphoric crowd as the gig went on, the unamplified version of For Emma as a closer followed by the band's moment of triumph, absolutely unforgettable.
really really good. I wasn't that amazed by the album, but worked really well live, especially in that setting
it looked well over-capacity in there
after I'd popped to the loo in the Rawk pu across the road. If you timed it right you could have just walked in.
they just filled up the top floor
absolutely stunning evening
port o'brien kicked things off really well, reminded me a bit of early arcade fire, first ep, will definitely be investing in their album
and as for bon iver, flawless from beginning to end, lost count of the times i had shivers running down my spine
probably had something to do with the venue but this was best behaved london crowd ever, you could hear a pin drop...the guy had us eating out the palm of his hand
question now is whether how it's all going to work at shepherds bush in september
His first London show was supporting I&W at the Kentish Town Forum, and I've never seen a support act get so much applause. It was magical.
some people CRYING. Seriously.
Special night though, really incredible.
I was v.impressed - already a fan of both port o brien and bon iver so I didnt need to be won over, but wow.
I can't remember who orginally posted on this board about the gig but without them I wouldn't have known about it. Me and my bf had a completely magical evening, so whoever you are THANK YOU thank you thank you x
Pretty spot on
