So i had a £10 HMV voucher and had to choose between Johnny Foreigner's album and Errors. After all the stuff written about JF and how good they and their album are on here, and considering they're like a lot of bands I like, i bought theirs. Got it home, gave it three listens and promptly took it back and swapped it for Errors. The Errors album is brilliant, every song is fantastic, and i'm gutted i've missed out on seeing them live 3 times now!
JF's is good, and shows a lot of promise, but it got boring so quickly that I couldn't justify hanging on to it. Perhaps i'll "get" them in a few months or something, but it was just fairly samey what with most of the songs followed the same generic formula. Plus his vocals were rather grating after a while, i think it's that style of singing i don't really like.
Anyway, who's bought what today seeing as so many albums came out today, any real gems, anyone disappointed?
Futureheads, Errors, JF, Sigur Ros (itunes only isn't it?), Notwist, Radiohead best of, plenty of others too i saw while browsing HMV...wish I had more money!
