I'm seeing them tonight.
Did anyone see them supporting Siver Jews recently? Apparently they're excellent live.
on Sunday... I've heard they're good though.
Abso-fucking-lutely mental. Thought they were great!
This is what I was hoping. Their youtube videos look insane. Apparently the venue owner's a bit worried about it...I shall report back tomorrow.
fucking mental and musically amazing. Very intense and confrontational. I can see them becoming a massive cult band.
The singer really makes Tim Harrington look lame.
i was the one yelling back in hebrew to their commands : (
sounded quite good though.
That was one of the most fun gigs I've ever been to. They set up on the floor, and I thought I'd found a safe spot behind the drums. Halfway trough the first song the guitarist had climbed the amps, pulled me backwards and was playing his guitar over my head. The drums migrated around the venue.
The singer is an absolute fucking loon as well. The music is strong enough to back up the ludicrous amount of dicking around they get through. If you get a chance to see them, go.
the 'surprise' element of them might be lost a bit. I can see the singer getting arrested or seriously hurting himself one day. Awesome band and I agree - the music is easily strong enough. Looking forward to seeing them again soon.
What did you think?
..I thought they'd be a little crazy but I had my expectations blown away... Flaming drums, different parts of the drumkit ending up round the room being played by different band members- whilst actually still being in a song..lots of climbing, jumping into bins.. and the entire band ended up playing on top of the bar by the end of the set. I felt sorry for the drummer a bit.. he got so much abuse from the singer!
and thought they were absolutely dreadful, sub-The Darkness, cabaret rock
they sound nothing like The Darkness.
Sound like a mix of The Fucking Champs, Lightning Bolt and Les Savy Fav.
posturing nonsense rather than the music. I just thought it was embarrassing rather than thrilling
