LUKE SAYS BUY THE TIM AND LEIGHFIELD’S BAND WITH KLAUS AND LUKE AND TIM TOUR, SUMMER 2008.
Three of the UK’s hottest young musical talents will be traipsing all over the country this summer in search of eternal riches and fame. Luke Leighfield, Tim and Sam’s Tim and the Sam Band with Tim and Sam, and Klaus Says Buy The Record will be hitting a town near you between July 21st and August 10th, but only if you book them. Email email@example.com if you’re interested in booking a date, or for more information on the cost of the tour package. Don’t worry, it’s cheap.
Luke Leighfield is a hard touring twenty-year-old piano pop troubador, with two albums and over 300 gigs under his proverbial belt. He has supported acts such as Scouting For Girls, Kate Nash and Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, recorded live radio sessions for Huw Stephens (Radio 1) and John Kennedy (Xfm), received rave reviews for both of his albums across the press, and generally brings the pop. Hard. On this tour he will be playing with a bassist and drummer for the first time since 2006.
“A breath of fresh air in this world of gloomy winters and moody blues.” – Huw Stephens, Radio 1
Tim and Sam’s Tim and the Sam Band with Tim and Sam
With songs as epic as their name, Tim and Sam provide a multi-instrumental positive post rock experience like none you’ve ever heard before, eschewing tales of rock ‘n’ roll debauchery for a largely non-vocal homage to drinking tea. Their music was recently used in a Co-Operative bank advert, and they have also received airplay on Radio 1, Radio 2 and BBC 6Music. Despite sounding like noone else, they sound a bit like Tunng and Sigur Ros, but not a lot.
"Psyched-out, delicate summery soundscapes which have had many pop critics desperately inventing new musical genres, like English post-folk instrumental music." – Manchester Evening News
Klaus Says Buy The Record
Jon (not Klaus, that’s just a lie) writes glorious, fragile, folky ditties, sometimes on piano, sometimes with his guitar. And it’s all just a bit wonderful. Recently his talents meant that he won the Red Stripe Award 2008, defeating 999 bands in the process. He has supported Dirty Pretty Thing and Youthmovies, been played on Xfm by John Kennedy, and has had a couple of NME features.
Here are the dates and routing for the tour. Dates in CAPS are already taken. The routing is only a rough guide – if you want to book the tour in your town but it doesn’t work with the routing, send an email and we’ll see if we can make it work. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for further details / to book a date.
