Okay, it may be tenuous. but listen to the riff at the start of the dancefloor classic 'Shame' by EAT.
and then....Radio Nowhere by The Boss
Its not just me, is it?.....
I'm more inclined to put this down to the limited imagination of the vast majority of the world's indie bands leading to repetition of riffs, chord sequences and rhythms, than any kind of malicious copying by Le Bóss.
But then, what do I know? I couldn't even be bothered to click on the links.
although I would say it's very unlikely Springsteen has even heard Shame so I doubt it's a steal. I'd also say that when I first heard Shame I thought it was a massive rip off of another song but i forget what that was.
I love stuff like this :D
Have you heard the tune that George Harrison stole My Sweet Lord from? It's absurd! The melody is identical.
just think its quite funny. imagine if Bruce had been sitting on the riff for 15 years, waiting and hoping enough time had passed.
Quite like both songs though, so double bonus i think!
i still think they stole from Springsteen. i mean, he isn't called the Boss for nothing.
I want the pounding drums
I want a million different voices speaking in tongues"
he really does fucking own
