I need a band for a ball.....
I'm looking to book a band for a ball in Devon in October and would love any suggestions or links to booking agents for me to check out.
I was originally thinking of something quite 'classic' but I'm becoming more tempted to have a 70's or 80's theme.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Unless it was a jazz band, I don't think the people likely to go would enjoy anything they didn't recognise.

You should be able to find something in there, surely?
be warned though? most bands of even a smaller size will be asking for a fee of £1000 upwards.

and it's hard seeing bands I like available but knowing they'd never go down with the pretty conservative bunch that are likely to go.
if you do have
a budget as above then someone like metronomy may be a possibility, even if they are fucking wank.
I'm hoping I might double that budget
