is my favourite song of all time.
i listen to it every day i think.
amaaaaaaaaaazing song <3
and my life now feels incomplete.
i like slow show, but i don't think it's as good as guest room, the apartment or start a war. or green gloves.
Slow Show still gives me the chills <3
I lied i do own this song, just haven't listened to it in ages.
cemented my undying love for The National
admittedly that's partly because I got Boxer shortly after getting my new laptop, but... still. One of my favourite songs. It makes me ache inside. In a good way. And the chord change as it goes into the coda is SO good.
is absolutely beautiful. Definitely one of the highlights of what is one of my favourite records of all time.
I just listened to it and though "he's right you know, I can't think of a better song than this" THEN APARTMENT STORY CAME IN. What an album.
is the weakest on the album. Weird choice of single.
No. I love the way at the last chorus the hihats come in like a rattlesnake :)
(That honour goes to Mr Tambourine Man)
But it is in my Top 10. I still can't believe they managed to top All The Wine.
Doesn't it only come with the A Skin, A Night DVD? (Which I have on pre-order and am waiting for far too eagerly...)
I've just found a leak... but it's OK. I've already bought it.
I wonder if the film's leaked too...
the album art to boxer makes my spine tingle every time i see it. so amazing.
Currently I listen to it pretty much every night. At first I didn't think that much of Boxer but I'm very very glad I stuck with it.
It is truly wonderful.
How I wish I had written that coda. So pure.
"you know I dreamed about you for twenty nine years before I saw you" has to be one of my favourite lines ever.
its an amazing line. Glad Matt reused it as it was a bit of a waste stuck on their debut
but I don't get it...can you explain?
truely awesome that is no lie.
I just watched a live video of it, it is maybe even better.
Although i never realised how much the singer looks like someone from neighbours...
I posted earlier about how I thought this album was a bit dull at points, but this is fantastic.
