Brilliant band. Thoughts?
I wish they'd get back together. :(
when i was younger... osc-dis (sic?) or whatever it was called was a good album...no sure if id enjoy it now however
though i didn't hear much else of their 8 or so albums prior to that one.
AWESOME live show =)
I've not really heard any of the old stuff either. I remember looking up Digidog Headlock on amazon and they wanted over 100 quid for it on the marketplace. NO WAY.
I wish I'd seen them. :( Had the chance to at Ozzfest in 2002 but it clashed with my stupid IT exam revision.
Kyono had this ragged scrap of paper that he'd written English on so he knew how to say 'thank you' in several ways. They seem like real nice guys.
Apparently Kyono is doing something called Wagdug Futuristic Unity now.
from a bargain bin in a german record shop for about 3euros...true story
i guessed this would be you :D
Makes all over nu-metal tracks look like twee pop.
"DUN, DER DER, DUN, DER DER,"
to be fair they were never tuenful enough for me, but perhaps i need to retread that ground...
i've only got a single thing of theirs though.
'This is fucking incredible! Music like this can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of race/background. I hate to sound like such a fucking hippie but, peace on earth man. Enjoy life and all walks of it.'
Saw them at the short lived festival at the Dome (game on? think it had something to do with snickers) and they were brilliant. I remember at one point a punk had hold of my right leg and a metal head my left arm and they were pulling me in opposite directions. Lovely stuff. I also had a stilted hand gesture conversation in the crowd with a member of Electric Eel Shock. A good day all round.
their last 3 albums are wicked good. broken english and white noise is always a good live combo too.
I was well impressed by Cistm Konfliqt, despite the stupid "16 year-old nu-metal fan msn screen name" spelling.
at ozzfest and at manc uni around 2001/02 they were really good live band. i dont think much of them on cd though
i bought osc-dis on the basis of kerrang giving it five Ks, and didn't regret it.
saw them play for about £6 once, they were blisteringly heavy, and there was something charming about the singer reading "we fank yu manchestah" from a pre-prepared phrase sheet. ace.
