has anyone here ever worked on the gates or enquiry cabins etc at Glastonbury??
but I am this year, couldn't really afford normal tickets.
it was ok, a bit of a drag, and it was very tiring, as both years we had to do the 12-8 shift on sunday morning, but it's free/you might get paid, so it's kinda worth it.
who are you thinking of working with?
on the wristband place. not too bad, get paid and get free food! :)
We went to get our beer on Thursday from the car, me, my bro and my bezzi (DiS: MrHills).
They let MrHills out and forgot to give him a pass out. He didn't know you needed one cos he went first.
When we got back they told him he couldn't get in. So he had to walk literally around the entire perimeter of the site. He saw Eavis on the way!
But we were appalled. And my brother shouted at them and asked the supervisor for her number thing. She was a dick.
Don't be horrible to people that don't get pass outs, sarkyfox. Let them back in!
not sure what thatll entail. but woo. free
but at a cafe, I did the morning shift 8-2, everyday, it was pretty good fun, I saw every band I wanted too and went out every night, you get pretty knackered by sunday but the trick is to just mission on through and not fanny about sleeping/trying to have a nap in the afernoon or some such craziness. most of the people I worked with were pretty like minded and you normally get secure camping (in the theatre field or something)showers/toilets which is ace. so yeah I'd recommend it
a friend worked the water supply last time I went; he spent the whole time he wasn't working trying and failing to catch up with us, and going a bit mental with the stress of it all. So I guess I wouldn't recommend that...
