Anyone who doesn't think this is Cursive's best record is wrong.
such blinding stars for starving eyes is the best cursive record. And as for the cello period cursive the 8 teeth to eat you split is their finest hour.
doesn't have 'The Recluse' on it, which is the ultimate Cursive trump card
that I need to re-order most of Cursive's releases. They got losted when I went to uni
I like early cursive as the bitterness/cynacism hadn't fully settled in he was still naive and actually cared about stuff. 'excerts of notes..." trumps the recluse for late cursive
however, domestica and ugly organ are my joint favourite albums. i think domestica just pips TUO to the post.
Haven't heard this one.
Change that. I'm not a Cursive fanatic but this album is fantastic. Infact, I'm going to phone my sister and verbally abuse her for "borrowing" and subsequently losing it
Quite incredible. Though Domestica is unnervingly brilliant too...The emotional, cathartic release on Ugly Organ's closing track 'Staying Alive' is unbelievable.
but it would have to be amazing to beat domestica. which kicks my bum
i don't know why i have an impression of it being slightly boring in my memory when it's actually really good.
domestica is probably my favourite
Happy Hollow is one of the worst things I've ever heard.
The Ugly Organ is a stunning record.
Did anyone see them tour with The Ataris and PMFS around this time? The Ataris played a Jawbreaker cover with about four guitarists. Way to miss the point.
i go through phases where i'll listen a certain cursive album religiously and then go back to the others and question why i wasn't listening to them.
I think it would be such blinding stars, domestica and the ugly organ, too close to call.
I can never get enough of "staying alive" and rue the day where i can see them play it live.
as been mentioned though - i love everything they've done, with the one exception being the frankly mr shankly cover. effing awful.
This album is brilliant, The Recluse is easily my favourite song they've done.
