using public transport, but without buying a special ticket.
How is it?
these are generally not too bad unless you are going to a very popular place like London or Bristol. The train by all accounts is a pain in the arse as it is a small station that can't cope with loads of people. Don't go by car as it takes forever to get out of the car park and the local road system.
The bus is usually pretty expensive ~£40 from nottingham last year but it is the best available option.
cheap train from norwich to london
and then the megabus from london to bristol for £1.50
then getting picked up by the glasto volunteer bus at bristol
total cost including tube. £11.50 each way.
i think they do buses for normal glastonbury goers too.
What about petrol costs?
How much will we be looking to pay our driver if he can take us? (It'll be TimTheEnchanterer btw, for all you nostalgia fans)
is the least hassel
bar the waiting around with a rucksake on for 3 hours to get onto a bus back on monday.
an absolute joke
basically, getting back from glasto is going to take a day. Good luck
and got home at about 4am Monday.
