Although Yank Crime is a brilliant album, i prefer Audit in Progress and Automatic midnight to it. Who do you prefer?
though I prefer HS to most things to be fair.
Record shops never seem to stock any Drive Like Jehu either, which is lame.
i got mine of amazon, because i must have looked in every cd shop there is to of no avail
if I was one of these 'teenagers' and didn't have a debit card, if record shops didn't have what I wanted I'd be forced to download.
Although Jehu had some nice meaty riffs.
I miss them. :(
Rocket From The Crypt.
called Hot Snacks, we'd play in the back of a burger van.
'Light Up The Mars Bars'
'Let It Bun'
'I Ate The Kids'
U.S After Eight Mints
but Hot Snakes for me. They are almost perfect.
I've been on such a Hot Snakes kick all day.
Don't forget the first Drive Like Jehu album. Its brilliant too. And name me a better 7" anywhere than Bullet train to Vegas/Hand over Fist.
but I've somehow managed to live my whole life without hearing a single Hot Snakes album. Tell me pleaase, which one should I start with?
it's a radio session album thang, but has a good selection of their songs.
and then Suicide Invoice. I actually prefer Suicide Invoice but Automatic Midnight is heavier, faster and pretty exciting.
drive like jehu are obviously better.
for a start, they make awesome feedback.
i'm going to watch a video of "do you compute" and think of some other reasons.
I'd take Hot Snakes over self-titled, but there are very few albums I'd even consider placing higher than Yank Crime. What other albums have openers as frantic as Rome Plows, or guitar 'solos' as beautifully ugly as the one on Luau? None!
i'd start with Automatic midnight>Audit in Progress>Suicide Invoice.
I couldn't say. I probably listen too Hot Snakes more, but if asked, i'd say Yank Crime was better than anything Hot Snakes have released.
but no fucker has it in stock.
Internets jobs againsk.
just ordered the Wipers box set for about £8 though, winner!
