Me: Popped In Souled Out by Wet Wet Wet.
Glad to get that off my chest
I'm so sorry
the spice girls
and my second was C'est La Vie by B*Witched, true story.
a totally acceptable selection :)
Solitude/Solitaire...must have been something to do with The Karate Kid 2
Buffy The Vampire Slayer Soundtrack
Used some of those coca-cola ring pull tokens to get my first cd:
Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory
The Smiths - the queen is dead
i'd be happy to listen to today. Happy memories...
'Speak and Spell' Depeche Mode
'Greatest Hits' Queen (now called Vol 1 I think).
I'd've been 12 I think.
I still have it and listen to it.
by Elton John. Still play it every now and then. Great album.
... and I thought I was a bad-ass because they say 'f*ck' in the first song.
I'm pretty sure I'm no longer a bad-ass though.
My first cassette was 2Unlimited.
I hang my head in shame!
First album purchased with my own money.
I had several Michael Jackson albums before that on the free though ;)
Still own that classic.
Dodgy - Free Peace Sweet!!
"Good Enough" is still a tuuuuune!
single however was Hanson - Mmm Bop - hang me now
i had volume 4. loved that.
I can't remember the album title though.
8 Mile Soundtrack. Listening to that in my room as a 12 year old with massive headphones is a good memory
bought when you were 12.
Man I suddenly feel way too old!
Although I'm not much that much older, I remember going to see 8 Mile with my first serious boyfriend when I was 16. I have no idea why we went though, since neither of us liked Eminem and it was just us and a cinema full of chavs...
I knew all the words to 'The Marshal Matthers LP'
I am that sad.
I hang my head in shame (yet again)
Oh the sad things we do when young(er)
By Marilyn Manson.
I was such a rebellious 13 year old ...
Travelling without moving.
pretty good first album i reckons.
Come on, Cosmic Girl was quality.
because i liked the cover.
on tape after hearing it at my new neighbours house. Fucking mint album.
Although the first tape I ever owned was the Now 11 compilation.
The first CD I ever owned was Black Sunday by Cypress Hill.
Yourself or Someone Like You - Matchbox 20.
In my defence I didn't buy my first album until I was 16. But I'd stolen hundreds of my bib sis's tapes (which were much cooler).
And it was ace. Still is!
I was 12, still got it and the vinyl still has no scratches!
on cassette The Bends.
then on CD Crazy, Sexy, Cool.
Both on a par i'm sure you'll agree.
RIP Left Eye.
something-or-other, probably around the 20s. There was always one side of one tape worth listening to. This one may have had REM on it.
It was dark red, I think. Anyone out there an expert on these things?
Proper album: Nevermind, probably.
my music taste hasn't changed much since
Probably the most inconsistent of all the Beatles' albums. The second half is the most amazing thing I've ever heard in my life, but I can't stand the first. It was just a sign that they were all gonna be really shit when they went solo.
APART FROM YOU, PAUL <£
Ash - Free all angels
Muse - Origin of Symmetry
I didn't really start collecting stuff till I was 16, as I was far more into games and Bruce lee films. Well I was 18 when I buying music seriously.
The student loan has bought me hundreds of albums.
That was the first album i owned but I dont remember the first one I bought. I think it might have been G'n'R Use your Illusion 2, but Im not sure
Iron Maiden - Iron Maiden, £4.99 from the record shop in Long Eaton.
a mere 28 years ago?
No shame in either.
& Depeche Mode- Violator
This was followed shortly by the year that I wore only black.
Thank god I discovered Aphex Twin or who knows what would have happened!
and now you'd have a proper job rather than spending the day on DiS.
That was the first one I bought, but my first record was 'Vault' by Def Leppard.
the star and the wiseman.
still got it somewhere i'm happy to say.
It changed my life.
Appetite for Destruction
Licensed to Ill
Anyone who's claiming to have bought Out of Step when they were 6 or anything like that can fuck off right now.
a classic i think you will all agree
i bought 'hysteria' when i was 6. does that count?
Still love the sound of that Tie-Fighter
it might have been 'nevermind'. but i can't remember. i was about twelve, anyway and that's about nine years and thousands of cds.
