ticketweb says yes!
so i've just booked a ticket; foolish?
for exactly the same reason as well. lineup doesnt look that bad so far
and modeselektor!!! i'm excited about that!
how much is field day? many thanks.
OH NO WAIT I MEAN 31 WITH ALL THE HIDDEN CHARGES.
5 pounds of charges!!! that's absolutely ridiculous, isn't it?
ah well, savy fav and some other great bands are playing and i'll be going with a nice looking girl. good times!
plus your dignity, patience, etc
please explain if possible?
not enough bars.
poo sound quality.
i really told myself i wasnt gona go back, but what the hell if les savy fav are there itl be worth it.
might as well chance it for the 'fav I feel.
crap sound mixing as well as volume
sound overlap between stages
if it hadnt been a gorgeous day in a nice field then it would have been riot worthy.
I just bought a ticket. It won't be Les Savy Fav without you.
"It won't be Les Savy Fav without you."
that's the cutest sentence ever :D
just because of that sentence.
i dunno. maybe if i have some cash that weekend and i'm free and bored.
thanks for reminding me to buy a ticket :)
Eat Your Own Ears djs
King Creosote (Duo show)
Les Savy Fav
One Little Plane
Richie Hawtin (Minus, Berlin) / Visuals by Ali Demirel
Simian Mobile Disco
Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks
silver joos are playing too?? this looks great.
For the prices being said it is a must.
Is the sound quality and all the other downers that significant? Is there not a chance it could get better this year?
and silver joos?
I got from here:
It would be fantastic if Malkmus played guitar for the Silver Jews.
I'd go for her alone.
i wish i'd seen that. that's unbelievable.
might give her a listen now.
almost enough to make me forgive them for the shambles of last year...
silver jews? i might have to go then :-(
I've just decided.
never to walk in anyones shadow.
And that I am going to this.
are not confimed for Field Day (yet?).
and I have a strong suspision that however compiled that list at Virtual Festivals looked at the latest mailout from EYOE and saw the headline "FIELD DAY 2008 line up and FD on TV!! + SANTOGOLD + SILVER JEWS + STEPHEN MALKMUS AND THE JICKS + CARIBOU + BLONDE REDHEAD" abut didn't see that all those other bands play their own gigs in the coming months ...
that sounds right.
that lineup minus jews + malk + redhead is not so tempting
That's not *quite* so super-tempting. Although it does mean Santogold is playing somewhere though, so I'm all over that.
at the Scala
Those tickets are more booked than Josip Simunic.
you're right. this isn't good :(
That those artists were all playing EYOE nights in the next few months and considering the scale of those involved, you'd imagine there'd be a fair fanfare if they were playing.
Malkmus and the Jews aren't playing.
Is it possible to watch this documentary online? Sounds fascinating. Field Day last year was well funny - by the end there was probably less than 1,000 people there.
