where to start?? etc etc..
bearing in mind i know next to nothing about him.
but i always say this.
it's the only one they've got on emusic and it gets very mixed reviews.
but it doens't answer my rather more specific query.
Is 'The Drift' any good? What is it like? I have a fondness for Tom Waits and latter period Leonard Cohen so I'm not going to be put off by gravelly vocals
It's one of the most complete, yet terrifying pieces of music I've ever heard.
If you are prepared to put the time in then it's one of the most satisfying records you will have heard in years.
will update emusic accordingly
but unlike anything you will have ever heard. atonal and unorthodox and scary.
No album comes even close to what Scott Walker does on The Drift. It's incredibly haunting, and quite disturbing.
