listened to this for the first time in ages last night.stunning.cant wait for the new album
and yes, it's mint. Especially the vocal effects on Kimdracula - tres nice, tres nice.
British poo cock rambling aside
but there's nothing about 'half hoods' in it. (i'm not sure anyone'll remember that)
yeah that song is ridiculous.
i dont think our teeth are that bad to be honest
Based on it being a thread by you, Meds replying and Deftones having an album out soon. Am I right?
buy all their albums and fall in love
I was 16 though, so there's a good chance I'm wrong.
as before then what I'd heart sounded a bit too nu-metally.
as like looking at one of them weird picture things (im sure they have a name)
you stare at it for ages and nothing and then one day a beautiful flower emerges
I still don't think a great deal of White Pony or Adrenaline, but lordy the other 3 are fine pieces of work
pretty obvious really.they hurt my eyes though.s/t FTW
Had it on the other day and it reminded me of Hexagram live =)
Watching people try to bob their heads in time to that was entertaining, also.
I can do Magic Eyes, but i can never tell what the things are supposed to be.
play worship play worship worship worship play worship
man, when it picks up a bit and he's just whispering "and if you're feeling lucky" is one of my favourite parts of that album. Team Sleep are good too, though i suspect you know this
i dunno.i mean im all for experimentation but i think it disrupts the flow of the album.team sleep erm iv only heard that one single they brought out.is the album worth getting?i did love that single
worth picking up - pretty diverse and quite experimental, but it's not like there's any heavy riffage for it to disrupt, so you should be pleased
To describe certain albums.
one each now
By the way I have a Fear Before The March Of Flames song stuck in my head I think it's "Taking Cassandra To The End Of World Party", very catchy. I have you to thank for that.
great song :)
is generally just a great album. The other two are also great, but TAOM is superior in terms of the heights it reaches
Out of the last 12 albums I've bought. Calculating Infinity has only been played once and I expect that to be a contender at some point.
In case you're interested Effloresce (Oceansize) is 3rd.
then i suggest you purchase this:
because it is <£1 and is pretty good. Not as good as AoGT, but DEF. worth getting. 'Adultery' is also superb, but it's less "circus experimental" and more "Mike Patton experimental"
i'm so sad they split. and i'm still angry at my Mum for not allowing me to see them.
When I get home I'll be buying this and the one I mentioned earlier (don't mention it, someone might get "in there" before me).
its very inventive.it will be interesting to see what they do next.i want it to be 7pm now :(
I like it and all but it's not the kind of thing i'll listen to frequently. Then again, the same happened with Panda Bear and now it's on with regularity.
I'd rather it were 4pm than 7pm...you getting pre-Reading announcement twitches?
and i hate being picky but mine are pre-leeds twitches (sorry that really wasnt neccessary was it)
you will love it eventually.you will
It was a good decision, it's a beautiful album.
Rest of list:
4th Yanqui U.X.O (GY!BE)
5th Drums Not Dead (Liars)
6th Ignoto (YCNI:M)
7th A Story In White (Aereogramme)
8th Antidotes (Foals)
9th The Painters Palette (Ephel Duath)
10th Calculating Infinity (DEP)
11th Penance Soiree (The Icarus Line)
12th What Are Friends For (Charlottefield)
The list is subject to change once I've listened to all the albums more.
opportunity well grabbed *does secret handshake*
is too tired for lists.proper lists anyway.i like youthmovies, deftones, panic at the disco,DEP,mogwai.thems the bands i listened to yesterday.i hope foals came today
I was ashamed of myself for that purchase.
brilliant pop songs.nothing to be ashamed of :) and the bit at the end of nine in the afternoon with the violins just makes me smile and SMILE
Although I'm sure it could be worse Alanis Morisette for example, hehe.
On a serious note I should probably listen the new PATD album before I judge but even if it's alright, I would expect to have little depth.
That's what I was getting at basically.
this album from the first couple of listens seems to have depth.and then some.its beautiful pop music
I don't mind eating my words occasionally (I do actually but I can admit when I'm wrong, sometimes anyway).
and i shall hear none of your tripe :p
Beware and Cherry Waves are incredible.
it's great but not their best, and that ramble destroys it :(
I think they were having some personal problems but from what Chino said they sound rejuvinated. Bring on 'Eros'!
but how AWESOME would deftones be at leeds/reading :)
in how good they are:
White Pony tour pt. 1 - SUPERB
Back 2 School tour - meh
White Pony tour pt. 2 - WOO
S/T tour - hmmm
hmm, maybe it's only 4 times. I was sure it was 5 <scuttles off to check a gigography>
just out of interest why did you put sorry?deftones are amazinggg
You only need to apologise for liking PATD or Alanis Morissette.
i can't think what to slag you for right now....but believe me i'll get there.
