Are they strict at checking ID at The Notting Hill (is that two words, or should it be one?) Arts Club?
But then I suppose a few years back, I was much closer to being 18!
did to me last week
well, you love Andrew WK so he probably just picked up on that vibe and wanted to make sure your emotional development was odds to your physical. :D
you bloody cliff richard loving bastard!!!
I've been asked for ID. Damn my youthful looks.
and I'm 25.
then again, I'm in my mid-20s. If you're that desperate to go, get there really early ie. just before / when the doors open it's unlikely there will be any bouncers about. Or just try and blag it and say you're in a band that's playing.
but i'm assuming as you're 24 it's not yourself you're asking for...
the bouncer sees me nearly every week but still asks me for ID. he should memorise my face!
I asked them why they were checking IDs and pointed out I was in my mid-20s and he said "we're not checking your age, we just need to see the ID of everyone who comes in".
This made me feel really uncomfortable.
i don't get offended by it, it's just standard procedure. they're just being safe and protecting their license at the end of the day, right?
maybe he just thinks you look shady
More people should think I look shady - I want an air of danger about me...
To be fair it was a Friday night rather than a RoTa gig I'm referring to...
there at Rota gigs. that's very strange, i'm not sure whether i should be pleased about that or not.
perhaps it's because i normally rock up closer to 6pm? the last time i was there the bouncer was too busy playing solitaire on the plasma screen!
get IDed there (and everywhere pretty much...) its getting a bit silly considering I'm 26...
