i got it :)
A PM will suffice.
link a brother up!
Hope it's a grower...
it's great though. i remember when they said they weren't going to churn out a zero7 type piece, and being concerned that they were just talking the talk, but they weren't :D
track 4 reminds me of that blur song from think tank (out of time or something?) but it's all great, i hope, i need to hear it a lot more. i can't wait to buy it.
stands up to repeated listens as well. 'We Carry On' is one of the best things they've recorded.
but my initial reaction is that it just gets better as it goes on. The end of the album especially - the 3-pronged attack of Small, Magic Doors and Threads - is absolutely stunning.
Magic Doors is awesome - potential single.
The Rip is lovely when the drums kick in.
brilliant, doesn't sound like a 'comeback' or some kind of self-conscious thing, just a natural advancement on their sound (groovier and more electronic) with some spine-chilling moments (The Rip and Machine Gun especially) and even good humour (the old-timer vocals on Deep Water, the way the album ends on some kind of hunting horn blast or something).
makes me even more excited about seeing them next month, if that was actually possible
to give in to temptation and just listen, but then i think it ruins the surprise of release day
