I'm not sure there are words...Sorry if this is the fiftieth time it's been posted.
That's the most surreal thing I've ever seen
you're right. there aren't any words. just...wow...
ARE YOU WEADY FOR A BIT OF WOCK AND WOLL!!??
those boys are due some serious haunting for that methinks!
He could have at least used the distortion pedal though. Compare and contrast
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Melvins & Leif Garrett
(go to about 3:20 for a great rendition of the guitar solo part)
Smells Like Teen Spirit - Hackley School
she makes it into cock rock even more than take that
murtikins (2 weeks ago)
Dad the light's out
and it's dangerous
and I can't find
my new trainers
i love their concentration faces
that guitar solo near the end is just facepalm.jpeg
is this a joke? it must be, i'm scared to click on the link. nooo - has the world turned on its head?
what has been seen, cannot be unseen.
hello i'm mark ronsHORN
I think Weird Al Yankovich got it right :p
it is dangerous". Nice one Gary.
That's gotta be cgi there's no way that actually happened.
they had a pet iguana called nirvana, I saw it on the ozone
i remember in my take that berlin book there was this bit where robbie heard about kurt's death and he took himself up onto the roof to reflect upon this, all maudlin, and have a fag. i think i got into nirvana when i read that.
...i like how he refuses to say "load up on guns."
notice Mark Kermode is playing the trumpet in his backing band.
mug_mug smelling salt. ASCAP should have laws against Vegas lounge acts covering Nirvana.
thought it was a skiffle band.
i learned to play it on the drums by watching howard!!!!!!! hahah
He's not too bad on drums, actually.
omg the solo
pretty much everything about it is gold:
the little camp dance he does just before he rips his vest off
mark owens guitar face
mark owens guitar solo
the "ARE YOU READY FOR SOME ROCK AND ROLL!"
It was actually better when my old band covered it, aged 12 with starter instruments we got for christmas and me singing with no mic.
I love this more than life.
how the first comment onn the video i saw was from crablin.
but seriously, i got onto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6X6qFRJGwU
and think it deserves some love.
When Mark Owen went solo he used to cover "Touch Me I'm Sick" as an encore. Alas, I've never found a recording or video, but I've seen plenty of references to it.
e.g. here http://designermagazine.tripod.com/MarkOwenINT4.html
but I had never seen it until now. I believe they also did "Another Brick In The Wall (pt. 2)" and one other that I forget...
they went through a "serious" phase after they became a 4-piece
This I would love to see.
This is amazing.
this makes me want to recite the lord's prayer.
WELL I NEVER!!
what the fuck? at least learn how to play your instruments before you play a stadium gig.
I particularly like the guitar fail in the first verse. "Hey, everyone else stopped playing the intro! What gives!"
I have been wanting to see this for about 10 years ever since I heard about it. Quite incredible.
My favourite bits are:
Mark Owen on the floor Nigel Tufnell-style playing bass
The idea that it really winds up boring Nirvana fans makes it so much more enjoyable.
'Serious' bands take the piss out of pop acts, why not the other way around? They are clearly enjoying themselves, and not taking themselves seriously. The fact it is a bit ramshackle makes it all the more fun - they are still playing it a hell of a lot better than most 14-year-old garage bands probably do.
I love it! Also, Take That had a lot to do with Smelly Teen Spirit, there's probably more of it in that crowd of randy girls than at any Nirvana gig, ever.
but only because i hate Smells Like Teen Spirit.
makes me smile more...
Oh dear.. when he rubs the shirt in sweat and chuck it into the audience..
Sorry Twee, but they blatantly are playing the guitars check the solo!!!
