at sheps bush. is this a bss presents show or is it actualy going to be good?
there was no difference between the two. And if Kevin Drew isn't too drunk it'll be better than good.
Let the man celebrate I say.
they'll probably play a couple of Brendan Canning's solo album stuff and then just rock on with a bunch of BSS songs. Feist is around in Britain at that time too!!!
but it will have to be pretty amazing to beat Koko last year.
not 100% on that though.
They'll play quite a few Spirit If songs. BUT its good. They played Looks just like the sun!!!!!! and they played 2 new songs from Brendan Canning's solo stuff.
Brendan sang on the one that wasn't an instrumental if I remember correctly.
one was an instrumental. Don't think its quite as good as Kevin Drew's solo stuff, but I quite liked it.
where was this show out of interest?
Because it costs a lot to get down here, they had to come without Emily. They still played shoreline and it went till 1am so it was fantastic nonetheless.
sometimes they are amazing
crikey i cant wait!
I'm fairly positive it won't live up to Koko's standards (as in the show, not the venue). Equally, I would probably regret not attending.. decisions, decisions..
I really need to get round to seeing them, but they always play far away and I'm pretty lazy.
....if it is really really good
one of Brendon's songs at the Scala, despite the general "my names Kevin Drew and its nearly my birthday so here's my tequilla", the song was probably as good/better than the stuff off Spirit If...
Scala was Spirit If heavy/Drew wasted
Koko was about half of spirit if but they played a bunch of old songs and Emily Haines showed up.
because his parents were there :O
Although he did go off on a tangent about taking pills at one point so maybe i'm completely wrong.
is the night before my last two finals papers. Dunno how this happens.
its not good is it? I'm so glad the london gig is on a friday...
spiritualized gigs are another matter though...
