anybody with me? why don't good bands ever reunite.
Like say, the Smiths?!
So... it can be done I suppose.
is Kyuss. There were signs a couple of years ago when John Garcia sang a few songs at a QOTSA gig, but nothing has happened since.
You wouldn't even have to get Nick Oliveri back!
As Friends Rust
Headfirst Straight To Hell still gets a few spins now and again.
"The bodiiiies were stillll warrrrm WHEN I WOOOOOKE!!!"
The Whipping Boy
Veruca Salt (American Thighs era line-up)
to ruin/increase the perfection they left us with.
where did he go?
He knows we need him! Well that's according to his label :(
maybe he's just being very quiet about the recording thing? Escaping the posibility of over hype etcetcetc as befals so many bands in this day and age?
a new album, dont know when it will be out
"we were so totally Winchester's equivalent of ATD-I."
Only then I realized that actually, if anything, we were the complete opposite- in terms of tightness, intensity, ambition, complexity of lyricism, everything except being kind of loud. Only we did have better rhymes.
Screaming Trees, Kyuss, A Tribe Called Quest (properly)
were a fantastic band, shaddap!
And Dinosaur JR....
The pixies had done as well
You havent looked to far into this have u
Most bands break up for a reason and reunions almost always sully the memories.
There's very little either Morrissey or Marr's done over the last 20 years that make me think a reunion'd work out...
but then again it was clear Marr had little input
if the smiths reformed you'd go. And enjoy it.
But it wouldn't be as great as I hoped. I mean I'd be happy to hear all the songs etc. but it'd still feel like them pretending to be who they were 20 years ago and I don't think any new album they did would stand up with the best Smiths stuff.
but you can't be sure. the point of these threads is not really 'who would you like to reform' but 'who would you like to reform and still be as good as you'd hoped'
otherwise i wouldn't want to see anyone reform really.
what if the reason they split up went away. use imagination.
most bands by the time they've split have reached the end of their natural lifespan.
I cannot think of one band I love that I honestly think would write new material as good as the old stuff if they got back together.
how would you know?
I want them back :(
never going to happen though
or the Jimi Hendrix Experience.
the man speaks the truth
but i like the foals album but deffo over hyped
Or a bit more likely, Quicksand would be ace.
And Id go see the Smiths too. Not sure if it would be any good though.
