just wondered thats all.theres a lot of hate in some peoples posts
and diss other's tastes in...football?
unless its pop punk, then I'm happy hating.
until they believe Paul Hawkins & Thee Awkward Silences are the best band in the history of anything ever. Although now I've revealed my masterplan it probably won't work.
Mostly to pass time at work though.
maybe 10% walking around town attempting to eye up students.
some poeople just have superiority complexes though
to try and find out what other folk listen to. It's also good to have a wee chide.
That Johnny Mathis is a bit shit eh!?
and to discover hidden gems from the past or other things i miss...
bands i like with ALL thanks to DiS:
neutral milk hotel
les savy fav etc etc
i don't tend to argue much, i can't be bothered
i like to talk about football and cricket tho
I kinda like to come on here to see what the kids are into these days. Sometimes I may even go buy a CD if its got a glowing review or if people on the boards are wet over certain bands, but then most of the time I realise its all a load of old pap and I start moaning how all new music is shit!
iv found fugazi, jesus lizard, talk talk, husker du through DIS.i can understand it when people have an opinion on something and then try and state in a reasonable manner what that opinion is.but when people just go "X are shit" "Y are well shit" that annoys me
and find like minded people who are into stuff that I am. cant understand people who get into slagging matches, we will always have different tastes so there is no right or wrong surely!!
I don't diss others music as a general rule, I diss people's opinions on the social board sometimes though.
5% Express disbelief that someone likes "Band X."
5% Jag my own band.
i'm here to get laid big time
and hear other music geeks veiws on music.
Also helps when looking through the boards to find little nuggets of information. And to help decide what to listen to when stuck.
